The project of the “Modernization of public lighting in main roads and parks in the city of Thessaloniki” was completed by a joint venture of DOMOTECHNIKI S.A. and DOMOTEL S.A., with a total budget of  1,801,700.30€. The project concerned the construction of a new underground power supply network and the installation of new metal lighting masts in roads and parks. Furthermore, selected old lighting fixtures throughout the city were replaced with modern LED technology lighting. Last but not least, a new remote management and control system was installed in central roads, in order to improve the operation of the network and reduce the failure detection and recovery time.
