Renovation of the old multi-storey building of the General Children Hospital “AGIA SOFIA”

Domotechniki S.A. undertook the renovation of the old multi-storey building of the General Children Hospital “AGIA SOFIA”, along with the refurbishment and re-arrangement of other departments and of the electro-mechanical installations. The project included the construction of Regular Outpatient Clinics and the Emergency Department on the ground floor and kitchens on the first floor. It also included the renovation of the Surgery Department and two Surgery Nursing Units of 54 beds totally on the 2nd floor, the construction of the Intensive Care Unit and the refurbishment of two Nursing Units (39 and 11 beds respectively) as well as a Premature Unit with 51 incubators on the 5th floor.

The main works were dismantling, concrete reinforcements, application of new floor and wall coverings, special steel structures, replacement of external and internal windows and doors, restoring old coatings and re-painting throughout the hospital and its surroundings.

The electro-mechanical works included the installation of water supply, sewerage, medical gas and air-conditioning-heating-ventilation systems, high and low voltage electrical installations, power substation, thermal and cooling systems, UPS, BMS, fire detecting and extinguishing system and lifting devices.
