Design and construction of Indoor Sports Centre in Xanthi
MUNICIPALITY OF XANTHI

The project concerned the design and construction of a multi-activity-sports centre in Xanthi with all the necessary installations, training areas and landscaping of the surroundings. The main hall covers an area of 1610m² and can accommodate 4000 visitors. The whole building covers an area of more than 5000m². The bearing structure is conventional, consisting of reinforced concrete and brick walls, covered with a wave-shaped steel roof and thermally insulated panels. The furnishing consists of all the necessary sports equipment, benches, locker rooms for athletes and referees, ticket offices, basket boards and electronic score boards. Design and construction of the building, as well as the landscaping (with parking areas, pavements, entrance ramps, high security measures etc.) comply with the most up-to-date specifications for such projects. That is the reason why the Indoor Sports Centre in Xanthi is also used for international sport events held in Greece.
