Design and construction of Hotel Complex Xenia in Volos
DOMOTEL XENIA VOLOU S.A .

Scope of the project was the entire execution of the refurbishment works and the procurement of all the equipment, as a turnkey project, for the upgrading into 5-stars-luxury hotel DOMOTEL XENIA VOLOS.

In particular, the whole of the works included the structural reinforcement of the existing building, the complete construction of the new hotel, the construction of parking and the configuration of the surrounding area.

The performed works focused on preserving the former exterior architectural nature of the building, with renovation of as many as possible existing elements and the construction of new elements similar with the old ones, whereas the rooms were reconstructed in accordance with the most modern technical and technological interventions to satisfy the requirements of a luxury 5-star-hotel.

The areas of public use were formed with local demolitions, rearrangements and reinforcing of the structure, alterations in the floors and the decorative suspended ceilings, following the style of the building. The aluminium constructions with large glass areas in conjunction with the stone from Pilio Mountain on the internal and external coatings give “folklore” style in the views of the building.

A parking lot with many parking places was created in the outdoor area in correlation with large green areas, pool of Olympic Games dimensions, playgrounds, reception halls etc.

The total building complex surface is 7500m² approximately.

Upon completion of the reconstruction-upgrading-refurbishment works of the existing building within 6 months only, DOMOTEL XENIA VOLOS includes 80 luxurious and fully equipped rooms (18 one-bed rooms, 59 twin-bed rooms, 3 suites), rooms for people with special needs, 4 rooms of multi-use, bar restaurant, outdoor pool with pool bar, coffee corner, yacht club-roof garden, a la carte restaurant with open kitchen, hairdresser’s, ski storage area, tobacco shop, TV room, outdoor parking, modern spa and fitness centre with indoor pool.
